Developers now have access to Fortnite Communities and can begin creating channels and drafting posts with island updates, event information, feedback requests, and more.
Fortnite Communities will launch to players soon, giving you another way to connect with them and grow your audience. When Communities go live, you’ll be able to publish posts in your community and to Fortnite and fortnite.com.
How to Set Up Your Fortnite Community
- Review the updated Fortnite Developer Rules and the new Fortnite Communities Guidelines.
- Sign in to the Fortnite Communities website with your Epic account.
- Create your community and set up channels, which can be organized by island or topic.
- (Optional) Link channels to your islands.
- Create your post using text and image, and preview how it will look.
- Publish your post. It appears immediately on the Fortnite Communities website and will go through moderation before showing up in Fortnite.
- Manage your community. As the community owner, you can manage how your posts appear in-game, delete posts or replies (both your own and those from players), and view analytics for your posts in the Creator Portal.

Publishing Announcements to Fortnite
To publish your announcements in Fortnite, you’ll need to link your channel to an island. Once linked, your announcements will also reach players in:
- Your island’s Lobby
- The Following tab in Discover (for players who follow you or have favorited your island)
- A new Community Highlights section on your Creator page and Island Details page, in Fortnite and on fortnite.com.
What’s Coming Next to Fortnite Communities
In the coming months, we plan to add the ability to:
- Turn off replies on specific posts
- Schedule posts in advance
- Invite your team members to participate as moderators
- Get notifications across devices for new comments and reactions to your posts
