Fortnite BR Chapter 6 Season 4 Competitive Details: Claim Your Place on Champions Road

Chapter 6 Season 4 of Battle Royale is here, meaning the wait for the biggest Fortnite tournament of the year, the 2025 Fortnite Global Championship, is almost over!

To celebrate, we’re inviting the entire Fortnite community to prove they’ve got what it takes to become one of the greats in Champions Road. This year’s version features lots of tournaments between classic Battle Royale and Reload taking place from August 12 to September 7. There are also Quests giving rewards for players of all skill levels! Let’s start by talking about the new tournament formats coming this Season:

New Tournament Formats in Chapter 6 Season 4

Reload Quick Cups

These Cups are multiple rounds in a short time span. Round 1 is all about your best result across three matches. The maximum score you can get in a match is 15 points, and eliminations are capped at five elims per match. Based on your score, you’ll be sorted into one of three groups for Round 2, where a high total score after three matches is the goal.

For some of the Cups this Season that follow this format, players in the top group will compete for cosmetic prizes. After the Fortnite Global Championship ends, we will add a third round for the 20 highest-placed teams in the top group to compete for three first-place cash prizes.

Duos Divisional Cups

We’re making some tweaks to the Divisional Cups format this Season, notably changing it to Duos, increasing the number of divisions in EU and NAC to five, and changing promotion to be twice a week rather than once. We’ll be inviting top-performing Division 1 players to begin the Battle Royale Season in Division 1 and also holding a new Trial to help jump-start competitors’ divisional progress.

Solo Series

Players on all platforms will be eligible to play in this weekly series, which will culminate in a Solo Series Final at the end of the Season with cash prizes on the line. Your best four results across six weeks will determine if you qualify for the Final!

The Road to Becoming a Champion Begins Here

2025’s Champions Road features tons of tournaments  — including ones offering cosmetic prizes —  in the lead-up to the Fortnite Global Championship. To participate in one of these events, navigate to the “Compete” tab in-game, find it on the calendar, and play when the event begins. Here are some of the Champions Road 2025 tournaments:

Blade of Champions Cup

Only a select few have proven they’re worthy to wield the Blade of Champions, but now’s your chance to prove you too have what it takes to stand with the best! 

The Duos Reload Blade of Champions Cup takes place on August 24. Be among the top points-earning duos in your region to add the prestigious Blade of Champions Pickaxe to your Locker along with the Champion’s Blade-Splitter Emote! All duos who earn at least eight points will also receive the Blade of Champions Spray.

Axe of Champions Cup

Celebrate the legacy of Fortnite’s competitive scene with the Solo Battle Royale Axe of Champions Cup, named after the classic Pickaxe awarded to some of the first-ever winners of the Fortnite Champion Series!

⁠This tournament takes place on August 30, and competitors will battle it out in ten matches in a three-hour time window. Be among the top points-earning players in your region to unlock the original Axe of Champions Pickaxe before it hits the Shop on September 4 at 8 PM ET! All players who earn at least eight points will also receive the Axe of Champions Spray.

Champion Surf Witch Community Cup

Curse the competition with your dark presence. The Champion Surf Witch Community Cup on August 31 is a Solo Battle Royale tournament where, like the other tourneys above, you’ll earn points over ten matches in a three-hour time window.

⁠The top points-earning players in each region will unlock the Fortnite Global Championship 2025 Bundle before it hits the Shop on September 4 at 8 PM ET. This bundle includes the:

  • Champion Surf Witch Outfit
  • Battler’s Emblem Back Bling
  • Surf Slasher Pickaxe
  • Witch Champion Wrap

All participating players who earn at least eight points will receive the Surf Witch Was Here Spray, and those earning at least 40 points will receive the Heartbreak Surf Witch Emoticon. 

Champions Road Quests

Champions Road brings a huge array of Quests from August 26 to September 23 across Blitz Royale, OG, Reload, classic Battle Royale, and Ballistic too!

⁠Each Quest awards XP for doing all the usual stuff you enjoy doing in your favorite experiences, like eliminating players, surviving Storm circles, and getting a Victory Royale. All that XP will come in handy because there are three Bonus Goals with rewards for leveling up:

  • Earn 10 Account Levels: Unlocks the Surf Witch Was Here Spray
  • Earn 20 Account Levels: ​​Unlocks the Champion of the Beach Loading Screen*
  • Earn 30 Account Levels: Unlocks the FNCS Fighter Back Bling

*Please note that starting with v37.00, Loading Screens are no longer supported when queuing into creator-made experiences.

A Major Comeback

Missed your chance to get hold of the Aces Wild Card Outfit or Champion PJ Outfit during the FNCS 2025 Majors? These Outfits will be in the Shop during Champions Road starting on different dates:

  • Aces Wild Card Outfit - Available starting August 19 at 8 PM ET
  • Champion PJ Outfit - Available starting August 21 at 8 PM ET

Win or Lose, Be Iconic

Legends of the Icon Series, whether they’re legends of the stream or esports scene, are getting in on the festivities! These Icon Series Outfits will be in the Shop during Champions Road:

  • Lachlan and Bugha - Available starting August 27 at 8 PM ET
  • Clix and Loserfruit - Available starting August 29 at 8 PM ET
  • Rubius and TheGrefG - Available starting August 31 at 8 PM ET
  • Ali-A and Lazarbeam - Available starting September 2 at 8 PM ET
  • Chica and FlakesPower - Available starting September 4 at 8 PM ET
  • Nick Eh 30, Ninja, and SypherPK - Available starting September 6 at 8 PM ET

Champion Clix, Champion Loserfruit, Champion Lachlan, and Champion Bugha will also make their triumphant return to the Shop — look out for them on August 27 at 8 PM ET!
